Forty-nine people who were out celebrating and having a good time in Orlando were murdered…because of the way the chose to love or whom they chose to support in their love.
It doesn’t matter if you are white or black, rich or poor, gay or straight, Christian or Muslim…you can rest assured that there is someone out there that hates you for it. Take the blinders off and realize that we live in a world tainted and tarnished by hatred. It will not be until we can come together as HUMANS and stand up against hatred in any form that we will start to see a change. It can’t just be the group that is affected at the moment doing the yelling and fighting…it needs to be everyone, every time.
And while many want to scream and argue gun control, understand that the tool is not the problem. Tim McVeigh used a Ryder truck and some fertilizer, I haven’t seen a call for the ban of those. While I think we can all agree that if someone is under watch by the FBI and on terrorist watch lists then they probably should be stopped from buying firearms…a criminal is a criminal is a criminal. They will do what they have to in order to get what they need.
